Motorhead
Everything Louder Forever
BMG
Holy Fuck! It’s Motorhead is there anything else to say?! 22 albums 4 decades and we get this, amazing favorites album. There’s only been a handful of bands in history that have reached that level of cool and Motorhead might be leading the pack. I mean come on Lemmy, Fast Eddie, Philthy Phil, Wurzel, Mickey Dee and on and on. And the tunes, I mean Ace of Spades, Overkill, Orgasmatron, Bomber, Iron Fist and that’s just a few. If you love Metal, Punk, Rock! If you love Motorhead!! You owe it to your soul. Motorhead + Everything Louder Forever = heaven

Ashes Of Ares
Emperors and Fools
Rock Of Angels
This legendary duo fires back with their third studio album. The masterminds behind Ashes Of Ares Matt Barlow and Freddie Vidales expand the darkness and aggression from Well Of Souls and the result is this Metal masterpiece Emperors and Fools. Of the many guest musicians on this album are some of the best including Wiley Arnett of Sacred Reich who plays the solo on The Iron Throne and Tim “Ripper” Owens who guest vocals on Monster Lament. This will become a classic

Sinful Ways
Darkest Days
Self Release
Probably the best reason I have and love my magazine is I get to discover bands like Sinful Ways. This 4 song monster starts off with this ominous music and then this voice start yelling at me and wasn’t sure what the hell was coming next. Then Sinful Ways kicks into this amazing music. It’s hard to pigeon hole these guys, it’s Thrash, Speed, Punk, Groove and a few other thoughts and emotions. I do have one huge issue with this EP. It’s an EP! I need more! I usually pick a tune as my favorite, but this band is flawless.

Sartori
Dragon’s Fire
Rockshot
These guys are listed as Neo-Classical Power Metal. I’m not sure what Neo-Classical means, but I do know kickass Metal is though. Sartori lead by Guitarist Andy Sartori along with Scott Board on vocals, Rod Viquezon on Bass and Dino Castano on Drums make some of the best Metal I’ve ever heard. Kind of in the vein of Yngwie Malmsteen, Lizzy Borden or King Diamond. Mixing Speed and Power Metal so brilliantly. The blend of Santori’s guitar and Board’s vocals evokes emotion on top of flawless rhythm. A perfect album

Of Mice & Men
Echo
Sharptone
Beautiful, aggressive, explosive are the first three words that come to mind when I listen to Of Mice & Men’s Echo. They’ve expanded their musical genius. It’s a perfect blend of that old school Metal like Exodus and Anthrax blended with that modern sound like Lincoln Park and the Deftones. Echo was recorded during the pandemic of 2020 mostly through and sharing files. Culminating into an amazing album. I can’t wait to catch theses live.

Ravenous EH
Hubris
Feast Beast
Hubris is Metal opera musical madness that borders on brilliance. Hubris is 10 tracks of pure Speed/Power Metal with each tune telling a story, with all of them based around hubris. It's a brilliant, thought provoking, story with the tragically expanding circumstance of an opera wrapped in Metal. if you're into bands like Blind Guardian and Sabaton you'll love this album.

I'm not really sure what Nova Spei means, but I do know they make kick ass music. Imagine taking aspects of In Flames, Killswitch Engage and Gojira and mixing them up. What comes out is this amazing raw groove, solid ripping guitars and vocals that transition from clean to raspy as well as layered. This is a must

LA Guns
Checkered Past
Frontiers
Legendary Sunset Strip rockers LA Guns featuring Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis have returned with a new album filled with that sleazy gutter Rock/Metal that they've been known for since their debut. The song writing once again with LA Guns tradition is perfect. The Guns boys also featuring Johnny Martin, Ace Von Johnson and Scot Coogan continue with their new album Checkered Past to show why the ruled the Strip in the 80's

3rd Degree- The Raising
Century Media
Gemini Syndrome, the LA based Alternative Metal band have released the long awaited final chapter of their trilogy. Following 2013's Lux and 2016's Memento Mori, 3rd Degree - The Raising has a lot to live up to and it does. It is a darker and heavier experience than the previous two albums. my personal favorite tune on the album is Die With Me with Baptized In fire being a close second.

David Reece
Blacklist Utopia
El Puerto
David Reece from Accept, Bangalore Choir, and Bonfire has released a new album collaberation with partner Andy Susemihl. Blacklist Utopia has a very classic, gritty Metal sound. The sound has a very underground feel to it. This album is becoming a favorite of mine and I'm once Metalheads hear it, it will become a favorite of theirs.

One of my favorite bands has just released a new music! Dark Tranquillity brings us the incredible album Moment. From the beginning of Phantom Days to the end of In Truth Divided Dark Tranquillity's Moment is perfect. The fact that they have added Christopher Amott and Johan Reinholdz on guitar takes Moment to a whole new level. Dark Tranquillity's Moment may be the album of the year!

If you have never heard King Ov Wyrms then you need to get off your ass and get this album! King Ov Wyrms' King Ov Thornes is a magnificently brutal piece of Metal artwork. LA Guns
Renegades
Golden Robot
Hard Rock/Metal legends LA Guns bring us a new album Renegades. It's what I expected to hear from the Sunset Strip heroes. It's gritty, grimey and the perfect thing to take you back to those glory days of the LA Hard Rock/Metal scene. Do you remember when Rock music was fun. This is something I think the music world really needs to hear right now.

Skyless Aeons
Drain The Sun
CDN
Skyless Aeons' Drain The Sun is a roller coaster of madness, emotions and brutality. I literally felt like I was beaten, dragged brought way down low, pulled up and spiral down. Just to start again every time the next tune came on. Skyless Aeons are one of the best Death Metal bands I've heard in a long time and Drain The Sun proves it. It's technical Death Metal at it's finest.

Azusa
Loop Of Yesterdays
Solid State
This album just came outof nowhere and punched me dead in the face.I was not expecting the amount of madness that came out in Memories Of An Old Emotion and twisted and turned and lead you into the next tune One Too Many Times like this roller coaster of emotion and chaos. One of the most incredible rides I've ever been on while listening to a new album. It grabs and rips you from side to side and you don't even realize you've been swept up by Azusa's Loop Of Yesterdays until the album ends and you are left in a heap of exhausted emotion.

Ozzy Osbourne
Ordinary Man
Epic
I was so excited to get to hear Ozzy doing new music. I will say I wish Zakk and Blasko were on the album. I just love there style, but The guitar work was incredible. I think Zakk might have given a little more punch, but that's my personal preference . When Ozzy started putting out these videosand singles I was stoked. Straight To Hell, Under The Graveyard and Ordinary Man are instant classics. Goodbye might be my favorite tune on the album. I didn't want to like the Post Malone track, but I didn't hate it and that's a good thing. I wasn't a big fan of the track he did with Post Malone and Travis Scott. I think People were trying to "modernize" Ozzy. Just let Ozzy be Ozzy and let us love him for Ozzy. Of course I'd listen to Ozzy read nursery rhymes while he was farting on a snare drum.

If you love Trivium you are going to go ape shit over What The Dead Men Say. If you love Metal you will lose your fucking mind with this album. Like they say in the tune Catastrophist "We Never Had A Chance!"

I was a little nervous when I was told this was throwback to old school Speed/Thrash Metal (I hold that genreclose to my heart), but I was so fucking incredibly pleasently suprised. Butcher is a band that is desperatly in Metal today. 666 Goats Carry My Chariot really brings me back to when I feel Metal was at it's best and Butcher could be that band that helps bring this style of great Metal back. An easy front runner for album of the year!
